Musicians' Wellness Centre opens at the University of Ottawa

The University of Ottawa has opened a Wellness Clinic to address physical and mental issues in musical performance. They provide supports such as: Assessments of physical pain and discomfort, Musculoskeletal care to musicians, Interventions to help cope with performance anxiety, Hearing evaluations and guidance, Assistance in developing healthy habits. The clinic is linked to the Piano Pedagogy programme and offers strong support for pianists, including expertise in the Feldenkrais Method. The clinic is open to all musicians. Two performance opportunities per month

Starting in January, the Ottawa Piano Group will host two performance opportunities per month. You can attend one event per month in order to give more performance slots for all members. Please volunteer to host these new meetings!
Summer workshop opportunity in France (2020)

The La Balie summer piano programme has announced their courses for 2020. This is a high profile series of master classes, private lessons and performance opportunities directed to advanced amateur pianists which is offered in rural France on 4 weekly dates through the summer, 2020. Each week has a professional pianist as the lead instructor. It was reviewed in Pianist Magazine, being rated one of the top 10 workshops and festivals in the world.
