Liz moved onto the piano aged 10 from an early childhood playing around on keyboards. She studied up to Grade 5 in the British ABRSM exams before going to University. After studies and working for a few years, Liz decided she missed the piano and started playing again. Since then her playing has improved immensely. Liz enjoys playing mostly Romantic repertoire and experiments with recorded music but as yet has no plans to do any exams! She also enjoys writing about live music.
Liz moved to Ottawa in summer 2010 and founded the Ottawa Piano Group shortly afterwards. It has been a great success! Liz returned to the UK in early 2013 and moved to Durham in the north-east of England. She set up a small local group as well as attending another group in Newcastle and a monthly piano workshop in Gateshead.
In autumn 2015 Liz is moving again... to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales! Where her musical adventures will continue...
She also continues to attend the Ottawa Piano group via Skype.
