Kathy

Kathy started learning the piano at age 10, after a friend taught her a couple of grade two pieces and she begged her parents for lessons and a piano (they bought her a $100 Mason and Risch -:).  She went on to study music at CEGEP and university in Montreal, briefly taught piano, then chose a different career path. After years of playing very little, she has returned to her first love and realized a long time dream with the purchase of a Kawai GX-2 grand.

Joining the Ottawa Piano Group has been a wonderful motivator for practice and a source of joy hearing other members play.  Performing in public has never been easy (that’s an understatement!) but the Group has provided a caring, non-judgemental space and for that she’s extremely grateful.
