David Rhynas studied piano until age 17, completing his Grade 10 RCM in Toronto. After moving away to university he got caught up with other things, yet over the years he has maintained a passion for this musical instrument. On his day of formal work retirement David purchased himself a "grand" retirement gift, a Yamaha Disklavier. This is a 6'1" studio grand piano that is also a high tech player piano. It can record whatever is being played and reproduce it acoustically, hammers hitting strings, with great precision. It's also great fun for playing along with the other parts of piano four-hands, duets and concerto repertoire.
